What the law requires
Article 47 §2 of Law 4072/2012 obliges every IKE to have a corporate website within one month of incorporation and to register the website with GEMI (the Greek Business Registry). Since 2 February 2026 the GEMI administrative-sanctions regime (Ministerial Decision 46982/2025) applies to publicity violations. The website must show, accurately and permanently:

Frequently asked questions
+Does this apply to non-Greek residents who own a Greek IKE?
Yes. The obligation attaches to the IKE entity, regardless of the nationality or residency of its members or managers, and regardless of where the company actually operates.
+What exactly must the website show?
Article 47 §1–§2 of Law 4072/2012: the full company name with the “Ι.Κ.Ε.” suffix, share capital, total guarantee contributions, GEMI number, registered seat and address, the members’ names and addresses, each member’s contribution category, the manager(s), and an “under liquidation” notice when applicable. The website URL must also be registered with GEMI. Annual financial statements are filed with GEMI — posting them on the site is optional.
+What happens if we don’t comply?
Since 02/02/2026 (Ministerial Decision 46982/2025) publicity violations fall under the GEMI administrative-sanctions regime: a formal notice, a fine reduced by 50% if settled within 30 days, doubling on recurrence, and potentially a freeze of GEMI registrations (no corporate changes or certificates). The decision does not set a separate euro amount specifically for the website, so we do not quote one.
+Can the website be in English?
The mandatory fields are published in Greek as they appear in the registry (that is what authorities and banks check). Your marketing site can be in any language and on any domain — the compliance page can live separately.
+Is the dashboard in English?
The onboarding and dashboard are in Greek. Most foreign founders complete the 30-second setup with their Greek accountant or lawyer — or email [email protected] with the company’s VAT (ΑΦΜ) or GEMI number and we set it up on your behalf, free of charge, and send you the login link.
+How is VAT handled for EU companies?
The price is €24 per year including 24% Greek VAT for Greek entities. The customer is the Greek IKE itself, so the invoice is issued to the IKE with its Greek VAT number.
